Dr. Nilceia De Souza 

MD, PhD 

Dr. De Souza received her medical degree (MD) from the State University of Campinas Medical School (UNICAMP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She completed her pediatric residency at UNICAMP and became board certified. She later pursued pediatric clinical research and obtained her doctoral degree (PhD) at the State University of Campinas in the Department of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. In Brazil, she provided pediatric outpatient, emergency, and inpatient care. Afterwards, she obtained a position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California (UCSF), in San Francisco, USA in the Department of Medicine in the division of Allergy & Immunology, which concluded in 2005.


In 2007, after moving to Canada (Edmonton, AB), she enrolled in a clinical fellowship program for Pediatric Respirology at the University of Alberta. She worked in Edmonton for 9 years in general paediatrics, providing primary care and consultations. At Restore Medical Clinics she provides pediatric consultation with an interest in respiratory illnesses (such as asthma, chronic cough, recurrent wheezing, and sleep-disordered breathing).
